Many of you will be aware of our plans to refurbish our taproom and move the location of our brewery and we now have some great news to share about all the exciting things happening at New Lion Brewery…

Work on the building where our brewery and taproom is currently based is due to commence in May with an estimated completion date of October.

We have also secured new, permanent premises for our brewery, less than 100m from its current location, and work on our new brewery unit to get it ready to begin beer production has started today. We aim to have our new brewery up and running ASAP with the first brew of beer available in June.

With bars able to reopen from April 12th , we have further good news – we are aiming to open our taproom and bottle shop for outside drinks at Shinners Bridge up until the final week in April before moving to a temporary location while our building refurbishment takes place.

From May to October the temporary home of the New Lion Brewery taproom and bottle shop will be Meadowbrook Community Centre , next to Dartington Primary School – a mere 5 minutes’ walk from our current location.

Once our new building is ready, our taproom and bottle shop will move back to a beautiful space at Shinners Bridge, nearby our new brewery, and we are already making lots of plans for events, beer tastings, food, music and more in our new taproom.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our taproom again and thank you for your continued support.

The New Lion Brewery team.

(Please note: all dates are subject to change depending on current or any new government covid guidelines and the effect this might have on our contractors and suppliers. Our taproom opening hours will be announced soon.)
