Hop Club Prima Donna Hops-Growing and Care instructions

Our Hop Club hops have arrived and are ready to be collected-here’s how to grow your hops:

Position your Prima Donna hops in full sun or partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil. – Your plant will prefer neutral or alkaline loamy soil. Dig in some good compost and mulch in spring.- As a climbing plant, provide a trellis, arch or other supports. Toasting Lion Share at our goodies distribution day

We had a great day on Sunday at the Taproom, celebrating the success of Lion Share and distributing peoples’ gifts and freebies. We now have 270 owners and it was wonderful to meet so many of them. Our thanks to everyone who came, and to the Almond Thief bakery for the nibbles.


One couple had invested and travelled from Swindon, and one guy from the Orkneys! Community-owned business is the future. We are all very proud.  It was wonderful to see the Taproom so packed, and to meet so many of our new owners and to answer their questions.


Join our community of hop growers!

It’s that time of year again! Although last year, what with moving the Brewery and everything, we weren’t able to do our annual recruitment of new hop growers for our Hop Club, now we’re back and looking for a new cohort of growers. The hops grown by our members are harvested in September and used to flavour our ‘Local Hero’ ale.

Sunday Sessions at The Tap Room

Every Sunday in March from 12-15.00 at The Tap Room in Webbers Yard, Dartington we have our  Sunday Sessions with a mix of music, a pub quiz, gin tasting and more!

Each session is free entry and we have tasty vegan bar snacks from The Hedgerow Hound, board games and off sales available to add to the fun. See you there…
